Shawnee pulled out to an early lead on the Trailblazers of John Wood and led by as much as ten points mid way through the first half. John Wood battled back as the Saints seemed to get fatigued with their short bench. At the half John Wood had taken a two point lead over the Saints 35-33.

The Saints came out of half time and immediately took the lead back, but once again they were unable to sustain their same level on intensity defensively as the John Wood subbed five in and five out. Shawnee made a final run highlighted by two rim rocking dunks from Brandon Allen and Jonathan Griffin. Shawnee could not get any closer than four points as John Wood finished Shawnee off 80-73.
