Lincoln Land 71 @ Shawnee 63

Shawnee took an early lead, but could not hold on to it as they went into half time down 35-40. The Saints played outstanding defense in the second half, but struggled to make shots from the perimeter against the Loggers packed in 2-3 zone. Griffin, Allen, & Pettiford combined for 19 of 25, but we did not get them enough shots.
Lincoln Land shot the ball extremely well connecting on nine 3pt field goals. Chisholm and Carey combined for twenty-four of the Loggers 40 points in the 1st half, but were held to a combined eight points in the second half without making a single field goal.

"Those two kids are tough hard nosed players, they played really well." Coach Sparks commented.

" Down the stretch the Saints closed within four points, but the Loggers managed to hold the Saints off finishing the game with a 71-63 victory over the Shawnee Saints. "

"We couldn’t throw the ball in the ocean tonight if we were standing in it. We were 2 of 20 behind the arc for the game. Anytime a team shoots that poorly it’s going to be tough night. My guys played hard and really got after it defensively, so I very encouraged by their effort."
