Shawnee Men Defeat Forest Park 92-85

Shawnee 92 @ Forest Park 85
Shawnee started off slow, but picked up the pace and overtook a seven point lead that Forest Park had early on. Led by Brandon Anderson’s 23 points off the bench the Saints mounted a nine point lead at the half, 50-41.
At the beginning of the second half the Saints went on a major run increasing their led to twenty, but the Highlanders of Forest Park refused to quit and they battled back and eventually cut the lead to two points. The Saints TJ Burnett received two technical fouls and was ejected from the game with just under seven minutes left in regulation. After a series of free-throws Forest Park was right back in the game.
Faced with adversity the Saints pulled together and made plays down the stretch and sealed the victory 92 -85 over the Forest Park Highlanders.
Coach Sparks Comments:
"BA (Brandon Anderson) was able to get to the basket at will down the stretch while Jonathan snatched nearly every rebound that ignited the fast break. The difference has been the contribution that we are getting out of our big guys, Chris and Mike. They have really anchored us defensively and opened things up on offense for our guards."
