Volleyball Saint Active off the Court

The responsibilities of full-time students at Shawnee Community College keeps most busy enough. But sophomore Taylor Baril of Murphysboro, not only manages to compete on the Saints Volleyball team, but also squeezes in more activities. Taylor recently completed an internship with WSIL. She plans to use the experiences from the internship in her career in communications. After completing her Associate of Arts degree in May at SCC, Taylor is transferring to SIU to seek a degree in Communications/Radio/TV.

Taylor just returned from New York City to complete a modeling project. "The meeting new people and the opportunity to see the operation will help me to decide exactly what I want to do," smiled Taylor.

When asked, "Why start at Shawnee?" her response was automatic, "This was the perfect place for me." Taylor is attending SCC on a full volleyball scholarship.
