Lady Saints Volleyball named as an NJCAA Academic Team

The Lady Saints Volleyball team was recognized in this month's National Junior College Athletic Association publication, for being one of the Fall Academic Teams of the Year. The Lady Saints finished 10th in the nation with a 3.51 team average GPA.

The NJCAA annually recognizes student-athletes and individuals who have distinguished themselves on a national level through performance, service, merit or achievement. The minimum grade point average requirement for consideration was 3.0.

The team is coached by Mike Fitzgerald, who also serves as athletic director. The Volleyball Saints will be honored along with all Saints teams at the annual athletic banquet on May 1.
