Katie Kondoudis of Mulkeytown has signed a letter of intent to play softball at Shawnee Community College. Katie attends Christopher High School and is the daughter of Kenny and Lisa Kondoudis. Katie is an outfielder who batted .310 last spring while compiling 17 RBI and 2 home runs. Katie is also a member of the Dirt Dawgs summer team.
In addition to softball Katie participated in volleyball, choir, worked as a teacher's aide and has participated in church mission trips. Katie is also an exceptional student earning a 4.68 GPA. Katie is planning on pursuing a degree in the medical field.
"Katie has a great personality and is a leader," Coach Palmer said. "We look for Katie to come to Shawnee and be ready to compete. She is what I would call a 'smooth' athlete. She works hard and yet makes things look pretty easy. We are excited about having her in our outfield and in our SCC family. She has travel ball experience also and that is always a plus. She sees good competition throughout school ball and rolls right into summer, continuing to compete. The level of competition among many of these summer teams is elite and having exposure to that will definitely have her prepared for the collegiate level."
