Library Instruction Classes

The SCC Library offers a variety of instruction opportunities for classes and individuals.

Reference librarians can arrange customized instruction sessions designed to introduce classes to library research. SCC has an electronic classroom with 16 computers where online catalogs, full-text periodical databases, and web resources can be demonstrated. We can create bibliographies of library resources and we will offer the service of creating web pages tailored to a class or an assignment.

Most instruction is interactive and is done in the library, but if you just want a brief demo it might be possible for a librarian to come to your classroom. Please call us to discuss the options. Instructors should call as early in the term as possible so a convenient time can be reserved.
