When to Apply

Timing is important when applying for financial aid. Even if you are eligible, you must meet deadlines for applications and for providing supporting documents. To increase your chances of receiving the best financial aid package possible, we recommend applying as soon as the previous years income tax forms are filled out. The SCC school year starts in August with the fall semester, and ends the following July.
Continuing Illinois Students must be careful to meet the deadline (contact the Financial Aid office for dates) for the state Monetary Award (MAP) grant.
