SCC Productions
Fall Production
SCC's fall musical production is a Children's and Community Theater production featuring area children and adults. The fall musical boasts a large cast, usually 60 or more. Our history of performances includes Annie, Seussical the Musical, Lil' Abner, Wizard of Oz, and many more. In 2008, SCC celebrated its 20th year of productions.
Auditions for the fall production are open to the public (age 8 and older) and are usually held the first week of September. Each production has six matinees open to area schools, a Saturday matinee, and two evening performances open to general public.
Performances are usually held the first week of November.
Spring Musical
SCC's spring musical production is geared more toward an adult audience and includes big dance numbers, and showcases many solo performers in song and dance. In the past, SCC has performed Grease, Footloose, Fame, and Little Shop of Horrors. SCC has also staged performances of Disney's High School Musical, and Winnie the Pooh as spring performances. The cast size is usually around 25, and consists of college students and adults.
Auditions are usually held in December and rehearsals begin in January. The Spring Musical cast is open to anyone age 16 and older, and SCC students, faculty and staff are encouraged to try out. Each production has four matinees open to area schools, a Saturday matinee and two evening performances open to general public.
Performances are usually held in March or April.
