Returning the Palettes to Default Settings

This is an important step because if you have done something to a palette that you didn't intend to do, then simply reset it to the default. This is done underneath the File>Preferences>General menu selection.

See the image below.

Simply click on the reset palette button and you will return the palettes to their original positions. Neat, huh?

Using the palette shortcuts can help you speed up a lot of operations you perform in PhotoShop. I don't use them a lot of the time because I like to use the mouse when I am doing a lot of the things that I do in many programs except word processors. These shortcuts are helpful and you will get the hang of them soon enough!

The next pages highlight shortcuts that are very helpful when changing tools in the program. Review them and then go to the next page.
