Chapter 2 - Interface
Chapter 2 begins with a look at the interface for PhotoShop on page 13. This view is what you will see in Macintosh although the interface for Windows is basically the same.
Both PhotoShop and ImageReady have a similar interface. They are actually now the same program although they have different functions. Looking at the tool bars you see that they are basically the same except for the basic differences you see on pages 14 and 15.
The Jump To buttons on the bottom of each allow you to go to the other program if you need to. Note the section on the Jump To customization on the bottom of page 15. Only use this option if you are not using the book. It might be practical to change it if you are using Dreamweaver or some other program to edit images as you work on web pages, but for now, leave it as is.
