Associate
of Fine Arts Music
Performance To transfer as a junior into a baccalaureate program with a major
in Music Performance, students should select one of the two options described
below in consultation with a music department advisor. Completion of the AFA degree does not fulfill
the requirements of the Illinois General Education Core Curriculum, nor does it
fulfill the AA/AS degree. Transfer
Programs Transfer programs provide an
opportunity for students to complete the first two years of study leading to a
baccalaureate degree. The third and
fourth years of study will be completed at a four-year college or university to
which the student transfers after the completion of his or her program at Because four-year colleges vary in
their requirements, students should determine specific course requirements by
consulting with their faculty adviser or a college counselor as soon as
possible after admission to the college. The
