Center for Business and Industry Training

The Shawnee Community College Center for Business and Industry Training is dedicated to providing quality, cost-effective professional development programs which meet the specific needs of business/industry and individuals within the college district.

Seminars, Workshops and Training Programs

SCC Center for Business and Industry Training services include: Customized training programs located either in the business facility or on the SCC main campus or an extension center. Professional development seminars and workshops. Identification of available training grant funds. Facilitation of community/business/education partnerships in which each organization benefits from its mutual affiliation. Provide comprehensive needs assessment services to businesses and their employees to aid in identification of specific training/retraining needs.

A variety of professional development courses, workshops and seminars are scheduled throughout the academic year. The Center also provides customized contract training on demand at business sites or on the main campus and extension centers. The Center will assist any company in defining its training needs and in developing training programs which address specific company concerns. Professional development courses and seminars are facilitated by experienced trainers and consultants who understand the need for practical workforce application.

Health and Safety (American Heart Association CPR, AED, EMT)

Computer and General Office Training (Microsoft products)
