TEAMS: Lincoln: 67 vs. Shawnee:50
Shawnee traveled to Lincoln, IL to face nationally ranked MWAC opponent Lincoln College. Shawnee and Lincoln met is a tough physical contest for forty minutes. At the end of the first half Lincoln had a nine point lead, 37-28. Shawnee was down, but not out as they battled back to cut the lead in half, but Lincoln never let go of the lead. Although Shawnee out rebounded Lincoln it was the 31 turnover that Shawnee had that sealed the deal. "Lincoln really got after it and made some plays throughout the game. I was proud of our effort and competitiveness. This game was closer than the final score. We will learn from this and move on." Coach Sparks commented.
