This one-year curriculum is designed to provide the student with the knowledge and skills necessary for entry-level employment in a variety of health-related facilities as a medical coding specialist. After successful completion of this program, the student will be eligible to sit for the CCA (Certified Coding Associate) exam. It is strongly recommended that students have at least six months coding experience in a healthcare organization before taking the exam.
