FIRST AID/CPR/AED

The Heartsaver First Aid course teaches lay
rescuers the skills needed to manage illness and injuries in the first few
minutes until professional help arrives.
Course content includes general principles, medical, injury, and
environmental emergencies. Optional
topics included are CPR, AED use, and how to relieve a choking victim. It is designed for participants who have a
duty to respond to a first aid or cardiac emergency because of job
responsibilities or regulatory requirements.

This course is designed to prepare and qualify
students to work as personal trainers.
The course bridges the gap between exercise science related course work
and the practical application skills of personal training. Learn how to properly screen and evaluate
clients for safe participation in an exercise program, designed and implement
exercise prescriptions for multiple populations and successful goal attainment,
and successfully sell and manage personal trainer services. Eligibility for Personal Trainer
Certification is provided through the National Council on Strength and Fitness
Board for Certification (NCSFBC).
