The new Metropolis Regional Education & Training Center was completed in November 2004. The 10,594 square foot facility is being built on a 10-acre site in the Metropolis Industrial Park near Interstate 24. The facility will offer greatly expanded workforce development programs in addition to the programs currently offered at the Metropolis Extension Center. Programs in electronics, computer science, information management, aquaculture, viticulture and a variety of baccalaureate courses are offered.
